UNTRM professors receive training on Climate Change in Peru and Spain

In order to strengthen their knowledge, learn about experiences, models and mitigation strategies to cope with climate change in relation to livestock, professors Ms.C Héctor V. Vásquez Pérez and Wilmer Bernal are doing training in "Livestock and climate change."

To achieve this goal, they must meet two important phases of training, the first is developed in the Livestock and Climate Change Unit of the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina – Lima, where they are doing field work and laboratory Evaluating the composition of nitrous oxide, NDF, FDA, lignin, organic matter digestibility and enteric methane emissions generated by livestock production systems in Peru.

The second phase will be held at the Basque Center for Climate Change (BC3) of the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, Spain, a recognized center worldwide due to research on the causes and consequences of climate change.

"At the end of the training we will be generating a mitigation proposal according to the needs Amazonas region and the country", said Vásquez Pérez.
