With the objective of disseminating the results obtained in the framework of the execution of the project "Diversity of Orchidaceae in the montane forest of the La Pampa del Burro Private Conservation Area: Integrating traditional taxonomy and DNA barcode - PRO-ORQUÍDEA ", carried out by the Ceja de Selva Research Institute for Sustainable Development (INDES-CES) and the Institute of Research, Innovation and Development for the Agricultural and Agro-industrial Sector of the Amazon Region (IIDAA), the Toribio National University Rodríguez de Mendoza developed the dissemination of the results of said project.

This important event had the outstanding participation of renowned researchers from our institution, such as Dr. Segundo Manuel Oliva Cruz, Executive Director of INDES-CES, who has been key in directing and executing the project. Also present was Eng. Guillermo Idrogo Vásquez, Executive Director of the IIDAA, whose experience and leadership have contributed significantly to the success of this initiative.

In addition to the participation of these prominent authorities, the Results Dissemination Workshop was attended by Dr. Leif Portal Cahuana, Director of the Professional School of Forest Engineering, who has played a fundamental role in the development and monitoring of the project since the university.

The Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza National University is proud to have hosted this event, which made it possible to share the achievements and advances made in the study of the diversity of Orchidaceae in the montane forest of the La Pampa del Burro Private Conservation Area. This pioneering research has integrated traditional taxonomy with DNA barcoding, opening up new perspectives in the field of botany and biodiversity conservation.

The results dissemination workshop was a propitious occasion to promote the exchange of knowledge and strengthen collaboration between researchers, institutions and the academic community in general. It also provided an opportunity to discuss the implications of these findings for the protection and sustainable management of ecosystems in the Amazon region.
